We are excited to bring to you the 8th Annual WNY Summer CyberSecurity Conference

The Event will take place on July 31st at the Rochester Institute of Technology in the James E Booth Hall Building, it will begin at 9am and will end at 4pm.  This is a complimentary event that includes Breakfast, Lunch and a Cocktail reception.  This year's sponsors include IBM, BitSight, KnowBe4 and Fortinet.   A parking permit and map will be provided in your calendar invite after registration.

The Presentations:

William “Chip” Crane, Security Technical Business Executive at IBM is back to deliver his fantastic Think Like A CISO Presentation.  We heard this presentation back in December and it was a huge hit!  Join us for a interactive whiteboard style presentation from Chip. CISO's face incredible challenges as they navigate a world of threats from every vector while dealing with the business pressures of an ever expanding marketplace.  The problems are complex and grow in depth every day. You will learn how CISO's learn to face and overcome the problems of modern business. I promise you will laugh too!

Chris Poulin is back by popular demand! Chris will be presenting on how
navigating the evolving cyber threat landscape is critical--and measuring and communicating your organizational risk is the starting point. Gartner estimates that, "By 2020 cybersecurity ratings will become as important as credit ratings when assessing the risk of business relationships." This is a pivotal market indicator of how understanding your security posture, inclusive of your extended vendor ecosystem, will be the "new normal" of business in the future. In this session we will delve into how to manage and quantify risk-- and communicate it to the Board.

Jonathan S. Weissman is our local cybersecurity celebrity!  You will often see him on the local news as a cybersecurity expert, and you can find him at our own venue, Rochester Institute of Technology teaching our future cybersecurity specialists!
Staying ahead of what’s next in cybersecurity may seem impossible, but Weissman says passion is the answer. “Cybersecurity is a high-stakes, high-pressure, ever-changing industry, which requires you to constantly reinvent yourself. If you want to be successful in cybersecurity, you need passion as your driving force.”  Jonathan will be presenting his strategies to enhance your organization's cybersecurity.
